Mini Review: Glenturret 34yo/1977 – MoM

glenturret-34-year-old-master-of-malt-single-cask-whisky

Glenturret 34yo/1977 – MoM – 47.9%. Gold colour, fantastic nose, elegant not overly woody. On the palate fairly thick, a nice consistency that covers the whole mouth wonderfully, gently woody, fruity and spicy with the old age coming through wonderfully with a warming finish that goes on and on with all sorts of complex sweet notes. What a shame this is all sold out! So, so moreish, you just keep going back for more, and at a perfect drinking strength at NCS it goes down wonderfully easily. Whiffs of smoke at the back of the finish. 92+.
